Theatrical Production of The Lion King Reaches Historic Milestone on Broadway

After 21 years on the Great White Way, the "Lion King" will close the curtain on its 9,000th performance this evening. Only two other shows on Broadway history have reached that marker: "The Phantom of the Opera" and "Chicago". The Tony award-winning musical has been seen by more than 100,000,000 and counting, and remains a Broadway favorite.
