"The World For a Nickel", a 1960's Documentary on the Staten Island Ferry

The World For a Nickel is a 1962 short film which was made available to the public through the release of the Internet Archives 35mm Stock Footage Collection. It is an interesting peek into 1960's values, sight-seeing, advertising and transportation. Not much is known about who commissioned the film, why it was made, or where it was shown.

Through the credits and the Internet Archives page we are able to see that the film was made by Samuel L. Schulman Productions, Inc., a company no longer in business, and narrated by Sidney N. Berry.
