The New Fulton Fish Market in The Bronx Has the City's Best and Freshest Seafood

The New Fulton Fish Market in Hunts Point is the largest fish market in the country, housing about 40 wholesale seafood businesses that supply most of the tri-state area with fresh fish daily.

In this video from Zagat, watch as editor Billy Lyons heads up to Hunts Point to see what it’s all about, and then out to Butter in Midtown to see what chefs can do with the fresh fish.

While most of New York is sleeping, the Hunts Point fish market is ready to showcase the day’s catch starting at 3:30 a.m.. Zagat went behind the scenes in the Bronx with a fourth generation fish monger, Louis Rozzo of F. Rozzo and Sons, to find out what makes the market so unique.
