The Fresh Air Fund Has Been Sending New York City Youth To Summer Camps Since 1877

The Fresh Air Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created in 1877 that provides ways for children living in low-income communities to get away from hot, noisy city streets and enjoy free summer experiences in the country. Children participating in the program spend weeks during the summer at host family residences upstate, or at more formal summer camp environments where they can get some time away from the dense Urban atmosphere of New York City. If you are interested in volunteering, donating or getting your child involved in the program, visit freshair.org for more info.
