Tenth Zine, a Brooklyn Magazine Depicting the Diversity of the Black, Gay Community

In this recent video from Brooklyn Independent Media, the team from Brooklyn based print magazine The Tenth talks about the origins of the magazine, and what they are all about.

The Tenth Zine is a Brooklyn-based print magazine focusing on the experiences, lifestyles and diversity of the black, gay community. The bi-annual publication draws its name from W.E.B. Du Bois’ influential essay “the Talented Tenth” as well as ballroom culture, where when a participant impresses the judges and advances to the next round, they “get their tens.”
