All 55 of New York City's outdoor public pools open today, June 29th. Parks Department Commissioner Mitchell Silver commenced the summer fun by taking a dip at Faber Pool.
The city's public pools will be open every day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. until Sept. 11, Silver said. Aside from swimming, it also hosts free programs including lessons and senior swim classes.
