Comedian Stephen Colbert showed up this early morning on the steps of Union Square along with over 600 willing participants all waving balloons for planned taping of a Late Show segment.
Despite it being a "super secret" taping, Colbert was still able to draw out over 600 people to the area this morning. This certainly seems like as good a reason as any to wake up early on a Sunday! Besides whipping the crowd into a balloon-crazed frenzy, he also addressed everyone on a megaphone from the back of a truck.
