The Snow Leopard is a "vulnerable" endangered species of large felines. Commonly found in the steep and rocky mountains of East Asia, the population has been threatened by poachers and local farmers and shepherds who want to prevent the Snow Leopard from eating their livestock. The Wildlife Conservation Society and the Bronx Zoo have one of the only Snow Leopard breeding programs in the United States, and have seen 70 Snow Leopards born since 2006, including this cute female cub who recently made her debut.
Visit the cute Snow Leopard cub at the Bronx Zoo anytime during normal operating hours in the Himalayan Highlands section of the park.
