The Bronx Zoo has an incredible exhibit called Madagascar! which features many different species of lemurs amongst other animals native to the island. This week, three super cute lemur babies were introduced into the exhibit.
Two ring tailed lemurs (Lemur catta) and one brown collared lemur (Eulemur collaris) were born in late March and are making their public debut. Both species live in a naturalistic habitat depicting the Malagasy Spiny Forest along with critically endangered radiated tortoises and several bird species including vasa parrots, red fodies, grey-headed lovebirds, and ground doves.
Visit the three lemur babies at the Bronx Zoo's Madagascar! exhibit during normal zoo hours.
