VSCO, the company behind the popular camera apps for iOS and Android, recently opened its first Open Studio in Midtown Manhattan.
The studio is VSCO's way of giving back to the creative community. Photographers can rent the space, which includes a permanent cyclorama wall and some lighting equipment, completely free of charge.
We know how expensive it is to rent studio space, and that it can be especially difficult to justify the price when it’s for your own passion project. Open Studio was born out of our desire to support the creative endeavors of our community.
You can schedule Open Studio time in two-hour blocks once per week… if you can get in. VSCO says it’s put the skids on requests for studio time right now due to demand, but that should change “in the near future.” Check out the Open Studio website for more information.
