Housing trends are set to change according to a report by real estate analysts at StreetEasy. New York City renters are set to move into some new neighborhoods this year as the market adjusts for 2016. While growth of sales prices and rental prices skyrocketed in 2015, they are likely to level out in 2016. Overall prices will still be high, but they are not expected to grow at quite the same levels that they did last year.

StreetEasy’s annual list of the city’s hottest neighborhoods is a reflection of where New York apartment shoppers are expected to turn their attention in the coming year. Queens will see a surge of new demand in 2016, according to the StreetEasy Hot Market Index, which ranks all of the city’s neighborhoods using a series of key performance indicators.

Without further ado, here is the list of New York City's Hottest neighborhoods of 2016:

  1. Kew Garden Hills, Queens 0. Bedford Park, Bronx 0. Elmhurst, Queens 0. Midwood, Brooklyn 0. Parkchester, Bronx 0. Woodside, Queens 0. Jamaica Estates, Queens 0. Pelham Parkway, Bronx 0. Coney Island, Brooklyn 0. Jamaica, Queens {: reversed="reversed"}
