Peek Down One of Grand Central Terminal's Secret Spiral Staircases Hidden in Plain Sight

Gothamist took a tour of Grand Central Terminal last month and has been slowly releasing a bunch of short clips from the tour.

In a recent posting, they show us a peek down one of the secret spiral staircases, hidden in plain sight right in the middle of the famous central information booth.

The information booth, which gets around a thousand questions an hour, has a "brass cylindrical center... roll back one of those doors, and there’s a secret steel spiral circular staircase leading to the lower level information booth. So the information booth people can climb up, climb down, climb up, climb down, as they’re serving customers arriving or departing on different trains at different times all throughout the day."
