NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission Releases Heart Wrenching Video Hoping to Persuade Cabbies to Drive Safer

A new video released yesterday by the NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission is hoping to convince taxi drivers to slow down and drive safer.

“Drive Like Your Family Lives Here” tells the stories of five families who have been devastated by traffic tragedy. This film will, among other uses, be integrated into driver training programs for prospective taxi drivers. While taxi driver training was the film’s initial purpose, the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) and the NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) have both already committed to using it in their driving training programs, and other uses are in development. We encourage you to take this film’s message to heart and drive like your family lives here.
