Not to Be Left Out, Queens is Getting Its Very Own Supertall Tower

The City View Tower is a new building heading to Court Square which is currently wrapping up its design stage, with construction starting next year and finishing in 2019.

A recent filing by the tower's architects and developers United Construction & Development Group have extended the heigh of the building into supertall territory, making it the tallest in Queens and the first supertall for the borough.

The developer put in a request with the Federal Aviation Administration for a 984-foot-tall tower, sending it into supertall territory. And with its mechanical bulkhead, the structure will rise 1,000 feet.
