New York City's Official Composting Program Celebrates 25 Years Transforming Food Scraps

The NYC Compost Project works to rebuild our city’s soil by providing New Yorkers with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities they need to make and use compost locally. NYC Compost Project programs are carried out by DSNY-funded staff hosted by seven partner organizations, including Big Reuse, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Earth Matter NY, the Lower East Side Ecology Center, Queens Botanical Garden, Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden, and the New York Botanical Garden.

Head over to the NYC Compost Project page to learn more about the program.
