The NYC Marriage Index is a new website from data liberators Reclaim the Records which lets you scour through New York City's records on marriage licenses from 1950 through 1995.

During that time, there were 3,124,595 marriage licenses filed in the City, and the website lets you search them by bride or groom name, year, or borough filed.

This data set was obtained from the New York City Clerk's Office through a New York State Freedom of Information lawsuit in mid-2016. The data is in the public domain, no strings attached.
