Working in New York City is tough. Rarely are you able to leave anywhere near a normal Happy Hour time (4-7), so mostly you are stuck paying full price for drinks like some kind of noob, or even worse, a tourist. This is the problem that Happy seeks to solve by connecting thrifty drinkers with bars who want them, at any hour of the day.
The process is simple. Download the app, find a participating bar (currently about 100, but more promised), start the 60-minute timer and show bartender the app to get happy hour pricing. Each member of your party needs to have their own copy of the app to get in on the deal, but the service is completely free to use, without any ads, so there should be no problem getting everybody a copy.
At launch, Happy has partnering bars in the East Village, Williamsburg and Fort Greene, but promises to add more neighborhoods as the service grows.
