It's no secret that the Metropolitan Transportation Authority has been planning a new contactless fare payment system to replace the aging MetroCard. In a PDF released for the upcoming Capital Program Oversight Committee Meeting, there is a slide which outlines the timeline for its rollout.

Schedule: Phase One public launch - May 2019
- Subways: Lexington Av line from 42 St/Grand Central to Atlantic Av/ Barclays Center
- Buses: all Staten Island bus routes
