Friends of Materials for the Arts is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Queens that provides donated office and school supplies to teaches, schools and other non-profit organizations free of charge.
By providing a way for people to donate their unneeded supplies to thousands of creative and educational activities across the five boroughs, MFTA diverts over 1 million pounds of materials from the landfill each year.
Through their Materials for the Arts warehouse in Long Island City, any New York City teacher who qualifies for free supplies can load up for the upcoming school year at no cost.
