The City's first Cat Cafe, Meow Parlor, opened today at noon to much fanfare. What is a Cat Cafe you ask? According to Meow,

Cat cafés allowed people to interact with cats in a home-like setting without the long term responsibilities.

So think of it like your favorite coffee shop, but with fewer pretentious hipsters and more cuddly felines. It does work differently than a normal cafe though.

At Meow Parlour, you can rent time to access to our space, where we have adoptable free roaming cats. You can come for as little as half an hour so you can just pet the cats or stay for up to five hours where you can use our free wi-fi while a cat naps next to you.

Pricing appears to be pretty modest, starting a $4 for half an hour. To get into Meow Parlour, you need to make a reservation using their online system, however at the time of this posting, it appears to be down due to "Excessive traffic" because cats always break teh internetz.
