Meet Andrea Jones-Rooy: NYU Professor by Day, Fire-Eating Acrobat by Night

Andrea Jones-Rooy, Ph.D is most well-known for being a Diversity Scientist and Data Science Professor at New York University, but this academic has several alter egos. She is a writer, a comedian, and sometimes, even "a professional circus performer specializing in trapeze, aerial hoop (lyra), silks, fire, and contortion." Meet the professor and see her perform in this profile video from the New York Post.

It’s hard not to be “hot” for this teacher. Professor Andrea Jones-Rooy, Ph.D., is a political scientist by day. By night, she’s a fire-wielding — and often half-naked — circus performer. We got a glimpse into her alter ego and how she juggles her two very different careers.
