Massive Pillow Fight Planned in Washington Square for International Pillow Fight Day

On April 4th @ 3pm in Washington Square Park, take out your stress on one of thousands of strangers by smashing them with your pillow. The 10th annual NYC Pillow Fight is on for International Pillow Fight Day and if anything like previous years, should bring out over 5,000 participants.

At New York’s 10th annual International Pillow Fight Day, the flash mob—which last year attracted 5,000 participants—turns Washington Square Park into the city’s bedroom, and the only rules to this favorite slumber-party activity are to not hit hard, avoid smashing cameras and leave weapons of the feather variety at home (down pillows create a mess). After the fun is over, you can choose to deposit your cushion in a donation truck where it will go to a person in need.

You are encouraged to don costumes and wield any soft, plushy weapon of your choice, but leave the feathers at home as they're pretty tough to clean up afterwards.
