In the ambiguous final scene of Mad Men, a 1971 Coca Cola commercial was aired in it's entirety.
It's unclear whether or not Don Draper helped create it with his experiences at the hippie ranch, from his experiences over the course of his life, both, or whether or not he created it at all!
While this video from a recent Live From the NYPL event doesn't really explain what happened in the final episode, show creator Matthew Weiner explains a bit about how and why he chose that specific ad for the finale, and what it means to both him and a generation of advertisement viewers.
