Local Author Makes Creative Vintage Commercial for Modern Book about New York City

As a clever advertisement for his book Park Avenue to Park Bench, New York native and author Michael Domino pieced together vintage footage and period specific effects to make a "vintage film" from the 1930's. The book being advertised was only recently published in 2014, but you would never guess it from the authentic vintage film.

Park Avenue to Park Bench gives us x-ray vision into the heart of one of the most fascinating places, New York City, where the essence of people’s lives converge with the skyscrapers and bricks and mortar of a city in a constant state of flux and evolution. Domino’s Manhattan, in many respects, is almost a mystical island where you just never know what to expect to appear or around the next corner.

Mr. Domino is hosting an open-mic event celebrating all types of New York city writers this Friday, February 27th @ 7PM in Greenwich Village at The Gallery at Le Poisson Rouge where you can hear a reading of his book as well as others from local authors.

Signed copies of the book will available at the event, or you can purchase Park Avenue to Park Bench on Amazon for just $8.95.
