Jeffrey's Hook Light, Washington Height's Little Red Lighthouse

Jeffrey's Hook Light is a small (by lighthouse standards) 28-foot tall lighthouse located on the New York side of the George Washington Bridge. It's bright red paint has helped it get it's Little Red Lightouse nickname, and was famously the subject of a 1942 children's book entitled The Little Red Lighthouse and the Great Gray Bridge. Our friends over at This Hidden City recently published a brief history on the lighthouse and it's well worth the short read to learn a bit more about this landmarked beauty.
