Head To El Caribeño in East Harlem for Some Grade A Caribbean Food in the City

El Caribeño in East Harlem is a small, easy-going diner with a full bar, serving up classic Latin American and Caribbean cuisine on the cheap.

In this video from Eater New York, watch as host Lucas Peterson heads on out to check it out.

This episode of Dining on a Dime takes host Lucas Peterson uptown to East Harlem, where he discovers El Caribeño, a restaurant specializing in Latin American cuisine. Peterson tries some iconic Dominican and Puerto Rican dishes, each better than the last: pollo rostizado, pernil, a slow-roasted pork, and arroz con habichuelas, stewed Dominican beans.
