From His Mom's Basement, the Owner of the Brooklyn Skyrockets Discusses Owning a Team in the Revived American Basketball Association

ABC News journalist and producer David Fazekas made this incredible profile of Dylan Gioia, a professional basketball team owner who runs his operation out of his mom's Brooklyn basement. Gioia owns the Brooklyn Skyrockets, one of about 100 teams in the American Basketball Association, but he isn't your typical, private-jet and caviar team owner.

I'm a normal, average, guy. There is nothing exemplary about me other than the fact that I own a basketball team.

It only costs about $10,000 to become a member in the ABA, but the works doesn't end there. In the profile, Gioia explains some of the challenges of running the team, raising funds and finding players.
