Software Engineer Haochi Chen recently wrote a quick script that downloaded the highest definition Google Map images for the New York City area, then seamlessly combined them together to create one ENORMOUS billion-pixel map image.

I cannot stress ENORMOUS enough… the full resolution photo on Flickr is 30720 pixels by 30720 pixels, making it about 170 megabytes.
