When I first saw this I thought it must be April Fool's Day again, but this is no joke. The Central Park Conservancy has teamed up with Italian perfumer Carthusia to create The Essence of Central Park.
Created expressly for Central Park Conservancy by Carthusia, this amazing new fragrance was inspired by the spring and summer blooms in Central Park. The Essence of Central Park was handcrafted in collaboration with Conservatory Garden curator Diane Schaub to create a radiant unisex fragrance featuring notes of magnolia, winter honeysuckle, linden, and Artemisia.
Perhaps this finally signifies the complete turnaround of the Park. Had this "essence" been bottled decades earlier, it would have hints of meth and rotting flesh, with subtle notes of passed out drunks.
The 1.7 ounce bottle sells for a ridiculously high $140, though all proceeds go to the Central Park Conservancy and the preservation of the park.
Would you wear it?
