East River +Pool Inches Towards Reality With New Federal Grant Money

The East River +Pool is an interesting project that seeks to place a plus-shaped swimming pool free-floating inside the East River. The pool's exterior walls contain a state-of-the-art filtration system which help clean the river water, and also allow for contaminate-free swimming inside. The project has been trying to get off the ground for several years now, and recently received a $30,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. There is still a long way to go, so if you want to help, sign this petition.
