CreateNYC, a Plan to Promote Inclusivity, Equity, and Increase Arts and Culture Access for All New Yorkers

CreateNYC is a roadmap for a cultural plan for New Yorkers, signed into law by Mayor Bill de Blasio. It aims to promote inclusivity, equity, and increase access to arts and culture for City residents in all five boroughs.

After hearing from nearly 200,000 New York City residents, the City of New York is proud to release CreateNYC: A Cultural Plan for All New Yorkers. With close to 100 recommendations, CreateNYC lays out a blueprint for building on the unparalleled strengths of the city’s cultural sector and targeting investments and programs to address historically underserved communities across all five boroughs.

Sponsored by Majority Leader Jimmy Van Bramer and Council Member Stephen Levin, the plan went through lengthy planning phases to ensure it would serve all New Yorkers.
