The Fall 2017 Citi Bike expansion will increase coverage in the neighborhoods of Harlem in Manhattan, Astoria and Long Island City in Queens, and Crown Heights and Prospect Heights in Brooklyn. 140 docking stations and 2000 new bikes are planned for the expansion.

By the end of the year, the service will have 12,000 bikes at more than 600 stations throughout the city. Officials said that this is the final planned expansion of Citi Bike, but the “DOT expects to bring bikeshare to more New Yorkers and is actively exploring all available options for doing so.”

Check out City Bike for more information on the service.
