Check Out the MTA's New High-Powered Track Vacuuming Train "VakTrak 3"

Local transit historian and railfan Dj Hammers makes tons of great videos showing how subway transit works and runs in New York City. In this recent upload to YouTube, Dj Hammers captures the MTA's massive new track-vacuuming train, the*VakTrack 3*, in action.

The MTA just received this new "VakTrak 3" Vacuum Train from NEU inc. This train sucks up trash from the subway tracks. Trash can cause track fires, which disrupts service, so the Vacuum trains are a very important tool in the fight against track fires. Two more Vacuum Trains of this same type are due to be delivered to the MTA in the upcoming months. Enjoy!
