Check Out Progress on 100 Gates Street Art Project on Staten Island

100 Gates was a street art project that canvased the Lower East Side with original murals from local and international street artists on the metal door gates that business use on their storefronts. They completed their project in 2016, but recently expanded the program to Staten Island and East Harlem. In this video from the Staten Island Advance, check out some of the progress thus far.

The 100 Gates Project will continue to beautify communities in 2017 and beyond, thanks to generous support from the New York City Department of Small Business Services's Neighborhood 360 grant opportunity. The 100 Gates Project will spend the next several months expanding into East Harlem, with our partner, New Harlem East Merchant Association, and in Staten Island with our partner, Staten Island Arts.

Visit 100 Gates for more info on the organization.
