Named after Christopher Columbus, the park is one of the the city's first major urban parks that continues to be a gathering place for people of different cultures and ages, and hosts a wide variety of events and assemblies. Behind the fountain is part of the Manhattan Bridge. Downtown Brooklyn, New York City.
