It wasn’t until my father was very old that I felt like he really understood me. I even ran away once in my teenage years, but I think I knew deep down he would have supported my decisions if I had just given him the chance to.
I used to have the worst boss, and I mean the worst. He was verbally abusive and very controlling. But now, now I’m my own boss and things are great. I decide what I do when I do and no one can tell me otherwise.
I’m an inventor. It’s a hard field to feel appreciated in. Most people don’t realize this, but almost everything you use was invented by someone. What invention are you most proud of? I invented a seatbelt for dogs. It didn’t really take off, but I felt good about it since I knew it would have a positive impact on the world.
I moved here for him when I was way too young. Things fell apart really fast. We just had different perspectives on life… After the divorce I felt guilty for awhile, like it was my fault. But, as time went on I realized that like the wind, our relationship was a living breathing thing and without both of us nurturing it, it couldn’t have survived. He never nurtured it.
The cold never bothered me anyway.
