In order to protest "bullshit in the art world", Brooklyn artist Lisa Levy will be doing a live performance in which she sits completely naked on a toilet in the Christopher Stout Gallery for a piece titled The Artist is Humbly Present.
“Ego and pretense has seriously fucked with the quality of work being made in the art world. I'm also tired of the bullshit trendy art dialogue about how the art world is driven by rich people who want shiny work and don't care about meaning as well. But mostly, I think it will be weirdly fun to be naked in public."
— Lisa Levy
Catch the performance piece Saturday and Sunday, January 30th and 31st, from 1pm to 6pm.
