Brooklyn Man Creates Amazing Full-Sized Robot Costumes From Ordinary Household Items

Brooklyn security professional Peter Kokis is kind of a super hero. Kocis runs Brooklyn Robotworks where he creates life-size robot costumes from ordinary household items and supplies, then takes them out on the street entertaining children and making people smile.

Each character has a lot of parts and no part is particularly expensive. It's just all the thousands of little parts tend to add up so ultimately it's a few thousand dollars in parts for things.

Even though he spends most of his time working on the robots, Kocis wasn't always a maker or entertainer.

After I got out of the military, my creative juices started to slowly flow again. It started as a funny joke, it became a bit of a hobby, it became an interest, it became my passion, and is now my business.

If you want to check out Kokis' robots in person, you can hire Brooklyn Robotworks for parties and performances.
