Brandon Stanton is the Human Behind "Humans of New York"

Humans of New York is a photo blog which captures the portraits and stories of New York City residents. The site's author and photographer is Brandon Stanton, who left his job as a bond trader in Chicago to come to the Streets of New York and photograph strangers in 2010. For the past five years, his Humans of New York project has grown from a random blog to a world-wide sensation, with millions of followers anxiously awaiting a new glimpse into the life of a complete stranger.

Stanton has released a collection of his best portraits and stories from Humans of New York as a coffee-table book of the same name.
