Book Your Next Vacation at One of Three Tiny Houses in Staten Island's Gateway National Recreation Area

Three tiny houses, located somewhere in the Gateway National Recreation Area on Staten Island, provide an easy getaway for anybody looking to escape the City while still remaining within its border. Operated by Getaway Tiny Homes, the location of the tiny house is revealed only once you have booked it, providing an interesting element of surprise. Take a peek inside the house in this video from the Staten Island Advance.

The borough's three tiny houses are tucked away behind tall grass and trees, with a short pathway leading to views of the New York Harbor. Each house, which costs $150 per night to rent, can accommodate up to four guests, and is equipped with a stove, bathroom, sleeping area, and a tiny refrigerator. But there's limited power, and fans instead of air conditioning.

A partnership with the National Park Service and the National Parks of New York Harbor Conservancy made this all possible. Head over to the booking page to see availability.
