Believe It or Not, the MTA is Actively Working on Fixing Hot Subway Cars

When subway platforms feel like they are 150°, stepping onto a nice, cool subway train is one of the most enjoyable parts of summer commuting in New York City. However, not all subway cars are cooled to the max, and when that happens, the MTA has a team in place to fix the broken AC units. Watch this short video to see how they do it.

As part of the Subway Action Plan, we're preventing hot cars with expanded maintenance and retrofitting of our air conditioning systems.
