Photographer Martha Cooper made a name for herself photographing the graffiti, subway and street scenes of the 70’s and 80’s for the New York Post. This shot, one of her more famous captures, features two surly NYPD officers riding a graffiti filled subway. Cooper is co-author of a best-selling photo-book published in 2009 entitled Subway Art.
