Acuario Cafe, a No-Frills Dominican Lunch Spot Hidden in a Midtown Building's Freight Entrance

It can be hard to find a Lunch spot in Midtown that won't break the bank. Luckily for all Midtown employees, Acuario Cafe has served up delicious home-style Dominican food on the cheap for the past few decades out of the freight entrance of an otherwise nondescript office building.

In this video video producer Jessica Leibowitz for Gothamist, learn all about Acuario Cafe, its owner Rodolfo Perez, and how to find it!

"We're in the freight, but we're not hiding!" Rodolfo Perez, Acuario's owner, told Gothamist. The restaurant has been a part of the neighborhood's food scene for 25 years, and despite its small size and hidden location, upwards of 100 people come by every day for lunch.
