A 100% Sustainable and Eco-friendly Art Installation is Making Its Way to LIC This June

Jenny Sabin's award-winning art installation is coming to the City this summer. It's still in the works, but with the help of her team of knitting robots, it will be at the MoMA PS1 in June. Her studio is designing a canopy of microscopic solar panels with photoluminescent fabric. It will provide shade during the day, it will glow during the night and it will act as a cooling system for visitors walking through it. Check out this preview from Curbed, then in person at the museum in this June.
