80's Rapper Kurtis Blow Created an Amazing Hip Hop Nutcracker Production

Earlier this month, Kurtis Blow, one of the original rappers of the 1980's, along with the United Palace of Cultural Arts produced a Hip Hop Nutcracker show which merged modern hip-hop dancing and rapping over Tchaikovsky's famous score to the Nutcracker. The show only had a few nights, but with it's rave reviews from the New York Times, Uptown Collective and more, you can bet we will be seeing it again next year. Here is Kurtis on why he is the right guy for the show's emcee job:

Now I'm the guy named Kurtis Blow,
and Christmas is one thing I know,
so every year, just about this time,
you know I got to celebrate with a rhyme.
