360° Video Shows the Rise of Hudson Yard's Massive New Climbable Sculpture "The Vessel"

Last year, it was announced that a new mega-structure would be built as the center piece of Hudson Yards. Titled "Vessel", the Thomas Heatherwick-designed sculpture features 18 stories of climbable staircases, with each level wider than the one below it. In this immersive 360° video from the New York Times, see the structure coming together.

Watch the construction of “Vessel,” an interactive, 15-story sculpture that is the centerpiece of five acres of public space at the Hudson Yards development on Manhattan’s West Side.

If you can't move the view around, you need to use the Google Chrome browser on desktop, or the YouTube App for iOS or Android to move around inside the video.
