360° Video Gives a Spooky View of a Foggy Day at Staten Island's Alice Austen Park

Famous local photographer Alice Austen spent most of her life living in the modest home which is now surrounded by the eponymous park and museum. In this 360° video from the Staten Island Advance, see what the park is like on a foggy spring day, and get a sense of the environment that may have inspired some of Alice Austen's photography.

The park, located at 2 Hylan Boulevard, sits on bank of the Upper New York Bay near the Verrazano Narrows and offers fantastic views of the bay, Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Verrazano Bridge. The centerpiece of the park is the Alice Austen House, also known as Clear Comfort, which was the home of Alice Austen (1866-1952) who was one of America's earliest and most prolific female photographers.

If you can't move the view around, you need to use the Google Chrome browser on desktop, or the YouTube App for iOS or Android to move around inside the video.
