1981 NYC Anti-Graffiti Commerical

1981, NYC found this great old public service commercial encouraging would-be street artists to stop graffiti.

Make your mark in society, not on society.
The Mayor's Task Force on Graffiti.

Shortly after this video was made, the police and task forces cracked down on graffiti artists as part of the
Broken Window Theory, widely accepted as the beginning of NYC's turnaround
from it's tumultuous time in the 70's and 80's.
