Zagat's NYC Bagel Battle: Which New York Style Bagel is the Best?

You can find many different kinds of bagels in the City. Classic New York Style Bagels, artisanal bagels with gourmet toppings, vintage-style bialy's, Montreal-New York hybrid bagels, these are just a few of the many variations. So which is best?

In this video from Zagat, editors Billy Lyons and Kelly Dobkin try out the different styles to see which style rules them all.

When it comes to bagels, New Yorkers can be pretty particular. From hand rolled, kettle boiled classics to wood fired hybrids, there's something for everyone (especially if you're not feeling the whole hole thing). Zagat visited three of New York's beloved bagel shops - Kossar's Bagels and Bialys, Black Seed Bagels, and Zucker's Bagels and Smoked Fish - to find out which version our editors enjoyed the most.
