Washington Square Park just announced that the 91st annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony will be held Wednesday, December 9th at 6pm prompt.
The Rockefeller Center Tree is more well-known, but it's 83-year tradition is a bit shy of the 91-year history that the Washington Square Park tree holds.
Though the tree arrives on Monday, it won't be lit for eleven days so you can still get a good photo of it under the arch before the lights go up if you want.
